About Botchit

Since it's inception way back in 1995, the internationally renowned Botchit and Scarper label has amassed an impressive roster of artists and a truly astounding back catalogue of releases that's ensured it has remained at the forefront of the breaks scene and managed to survive despite the unrelenting evolution of the music industry. Established in 1995 by business partners Vini Medley and Martin Love, the founders of pioneering Jungle record label SOUR, Botchit has gone from strength to strength thanks to its forward thinking and progressive music policy and its unique emphasis on artist development and loyalty. Releasing over 100 singles and 30 LPs, Botchit has played a key role in helping to break acclaimed artists like Atomic Hooligan, Aquasky, FreQ Nasty and Deekline & Wizzard as well as continuing to support artists like T Power and B.L.I.M. (who had previously been housed on the SOUR and Emotif record labels) as they started to explore new territory. In more recent times, the label has continued to innovate and push fresh talent with releases from exciting prospects such as Son Of Kick and Flore. Unwilling to be restricted by genre or scene and never afraid to step out of the box and challenge people, the label has had a number of ground-breaking releases ranging from FreQ Nasty’s ‘Boomin Back Atcha’ featuring Pheobe One to Eddy Temple Morris’ ‘Dance Rocks’ and Atomic Hooligans ‘Sex, Drugs and Blah Blah Blah’. With a rising new breed of aggressively creative artists and a ragtag bunch of passionate music lovers with an infallible ear for quality music at the helm, Botchit & Scarper has reinvented the way breakbeats impact the dance world... and that impact will be heard for many years to come!
